No Heat Beach Waves with Moroccanoil

Summertime is when I try to give my hair a break from all the heat styling. From being in the pool to the epic heat wave we’re having right now, I’d rather not roast myself with a blow dryer or a curling iron. Plus when I take a break from heat styling, my hair always grows a couple inches, giving me super healthy and long mermaid hair.

One of my favorite hairstyles is a beachy wave. It’s my favorite because the braids do all the work. I naturally have wavy, frizzy hair and when I’m heat styling it all the time for photo shoots, it gets even frizzier. GRRR. I love my natural wave, but the frizz can go!

I grew up using Moroccanoil so needless to say I was pumped when they wanted to do a collaboration with me. A product I know and love PLUS their whole curl line. It’s such an honor, my momma would be so proud!

Follow these steps to achieve super cute beachy waves:

1. Wash your hair with the Curl Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner. I ALWAYS apply the conditioner to my ends first, avoiding my roots, first so it doesn’t weigh down my hair. After I rinse, then I use the shampoo to really liven up my curl.

2. On towel dried hair, I use 2 pumps of the Moroccanoil Argan Oil Treatment. Again, I don’t want to weigh my hair down so I only put it on my ends.

3. Next comes 2 pumps of the Curl Defining Cream. I distribute that evenly over my whole head to help with the frizz.

4. After I braid my hair and it’s completely dry, I spray a little of the Curl Re-Energizing Spray and scrunch. It helps to reactivate my curls and define them. What I really like about this spray is it helps my waves stay longer so I’m not having to wash my hair as often.
