What to Wear: Wedding Attire for the Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party

Now that I’ve finally picked out my wedding dress, what do I wear to the surrounding events?

I am on a mission to find the perfect white outfits to wear to all the fun bridal celebrations; like the bridal shower, my bachelorette, reception dinner, and even the post-wedding brunch. I’ve partnered with David’s Bridal to find the perfect styles that are both on trend and also affordable. Wedding are undoubtedly expensive but a once in a lifetime opportunity. Looking into he near future, I am excited to spending quality time with my loved ones as we celebrate the love Travis and I have for one another.

My wedding style is very laid-back and casual.

My values come from the quality of people around me and the time we spend instead of extravagant celebrations. With that being said, I am only getting married once and I want to soak up all the glory of being the bride. Feeling elegant, beautiful, and standing out as the only one wearing white are all goals I hope to achieve. David’s Bridal is my go-to destination for all things bridal. I love that I can be bold with my style and unafraid to break the wedding budget. I know when I shop at David’s Bridal, I won’t fall in love with a style I can’t afford.

I’m wearing a US size 2

Since I’m wearing a dress for my ceremony and reception, I knew it would be a good idea to go with a bold look for my bridal shower. The non-traditional look of pants and suits have always caught my attention so of course I fell in love with this Crepe Wide-Leg Jumpsuit with Crystal Neckline from DB Studio ($169). Everytime I try on crepe material, I just swoon. It feels so silky, smooth, and comfortable.

I paired my jumpsuit with these Embellished Satin Block Heel Sandals ($59)

I’m wearing a US size 8.5

This jumpsuit is super versatile. I chose to wear it at my Bridal Shower but it would look amazing as a reception outfit or a post-wedding brunch look too.

I’ve said it a million times but I’m beyond laid back. To the point where I want to feel like I’m as comfy in an outfit as I would be if I were wearing sweats. That’s the honest truth! So while I love the look of jewelry, I am not one to accessorize with jewelry. I like adding my glam embellishments to my shoes, my hair, my nails, etc. That’s why I opted for a hair piece to really pull my entire outfit together. This Gossamer Lace Floral Clip ($79) is so dreamy. I’m not gonna lie, I will probably wear it to events even after my wedding. The romantic, side-swept, vintage look is everything right now!

I mean honestly, I’m just obsessed with this outfit. It’s so chic, modern, and stylish. Even as I rock some Jimmy Choo sunglasses, this outfit is so bold.

As I plan my wedding, I get more and more excited as the time passes and I get closer to marrying my soulmate. My biggest piece of advice is to live up the engagement. Be bold in your outfits, be wild at your celebrations, and soak up all the attention because you’re only in the engagement phase once and you deserve to be treated like a Bride and a Princess. Please share your wedding photos and/or wedding day tips with me, I love seeing them and could use the extra advice!
